eMail of July 6, 2009

To answer all the questions, I did get the package. The weather here
is cold but right now sunny. It has been mostly cloudy the last weeks
but good. This coming week is the last week of the change so my
companion will be going home for a while. He will be coming back but
only after his back is better. He will be okay though. We are still
working despite the problem.

The new mission president is great. He is Elder Laycock from Alpine, Utah. He served in the Buenos Aires South mission as well. He has four kids, one is married, another a return missionary, the third in college and the last is 16 and will be
living here. He has a good strong testimony and can still speak
Spanish better than I can. He is a big guy as well.

Well everything is going well. There has been a change in schedule, we aren´t going
to have class till 4 o´clock today so I won't get any mail or anything
till the end of the day. That means if there is any I will have to
respond the next week.

Well we have been doing well the last week. We met one person that is
ready to be baptised, she just has to go to church. Also two of our
investigators finally were able to come to Church, which means one of
them will now be able to be baptised this coming Sunday, Samuel. He
is 12 and his mom is a member of many years. He is excited about it
and preparing well. The investigator is ready to be baptised as well,
she just needs to come to Church two more weeks and commit to keep
going afterward. That will be tough with the family pressure but it
will be done. It is amazing to see how quickly one can change and the
power of the restored gospel as people accept it and live its
principles. I am so grateful to be here and learn so much. I may
lose two years of time, but it is time given to the Lord. In those
two years I lay down the foundation for eternity. A small, small
price to pay for what is given in return. I doubt there will be a day
that goes by that I will not think of my mission from here on out.
